You no longer need the upgrade kit
Until recently, the only way to get a working remote for a B&D MPC2
controller was a full receiver upgrade package — an add-on receiver, a power pack, and
new remotes, at around $190.
That is no longer necessary. This aftermarket remote works directly with your existing
MPC2 controller. No receiver, no power pack, no rewiring.
How it works
The MPC2 uses DIP switches rather than rolling code. Open the back of your old remote, note
the switch positions, and set this remote to match. That is the entire process — there is
nothing to program into the motor and no need to access the opener itself.
If your original remote is lost or broken, the same switch settings are inside the MPC2
controller unit.

Before you order
This remote suits B&D MPC2 controllers. If your controller is an MPC1,
MPC3, or a rolling-code B&D unit such as the Tri-Tran or TB series, it will not work —
those need a different remote, and we stock them separately.

ordered, we contact you with the alternatives and refund you in full.
